I was at a “fork in the road” with my career.

I had plenty of work on offer but I was just going through the motions.

Hi Shandra!

I thought of you over the christmas break as it has been a year since you gave me some wonderful help which really, really opened doors for me. I would be happy to recommend you as you helped me so much.

I really put myself out there and persisted with everything and in August I came third in a national writing competition for cosmo magazine and won $1000 and I'm organising work experience with them at the moment.

However, when auditioning for a theatre role a director approached me and asked me to audition for his production company which tours. So after six weeks of auditions I got the role and this year I will be based in Sydney but get the opportunity to tour Australia! It is the first time I will be getting paid good money to do what I truly love.

It just goes to show that if you put in the work, take some risks and work towards a goal- you will get there! Testament to what you taught. I hope youre well and have a lovely new year and thank you again for the help you gave me at the beginning of my journey, a year ago.

I had never done anything like this before and I have to say I was a little sceptical and wasn't convinced it could really help me. However, I was very pleasantly surprised.

I was having trouble accepting and coping with change in my life and felt that because of this, I was holding back from moving forward.
